Dashboard Camera Captures Wild, Scary Truck Accident

Posted on April 11, 2014

The following car crash did not occur in Tulsa, but the video footage of the wreck is so astonishing that it warrants discussion regardless of where it happened. Check out our source article for the video of an amazing crash that featured a truck running a red light, swerving into oncoming traffic, toppling on its side and then smashing into a minivan. In a bizarre twist, the driver of the minivan installed a dashboard camera awhile back, and it captured the entire wreck in terrifying detail.

As if all of this wasn’t enough, there’s an even more amazing conclusion to the story: the driver of the minivan suffered only minor injuries, and the truck driver survived as well.

Once you have watched the video and catch your breath, there are a couple of important aspects to this story that warrant discussion. First of all, truck accidents are obviously very dangerous and they usually deal severe injuries to the victims who are involved. Truck drivers have to be very careful when they are out on the road, driving in a cautious and safe manner to protect not just themselves and their vehicle, but the innocent people who share the road with them.

That brings us to the second point: the reckless driving involved in this story. The truck driver ran a red light and, because of that, was forced into oncoming traffic. He was ticketed for the incident, but the negligence the driver displayed would make him liable if anyone filed a personal injury lawsuit.
